Saskatchewan feeder cattle prices trended lower in several weight categories last week.

Canfax reports 800 pound and over steers saw average prices decline by about $3 per hundredweight.

500-700 pound steers were relatively stable, while there was a $5.60 per hundredweight increase for 300-400 pound steers.

Feeder heifer prices ranged from $2 lower to $2 higher. The only exception was 300-400 heifers, which saw a gain of $9.25 per hundredweight over the previous week.

D1,2 slaughter cow prices declined 33 cents to average $88.05 per hundredweight. D3 slaughter cows dropped 95 cents to average $78.63 per hundredweight.
