Husky Energy is to appear in Provincial Court in Lloydminster today (thurs) on several charges related to the spill of 225 thousand litres of oil from a Husky pipeline near Maidstone in July of 2016.
There are both provincial and federal charges. Fines could reach into the millions of dollars. The province says that the investigation report by the Ministry of Energy and Resources will not be released until all prosecution processes and any appeals have concluded.
