The public gets a chance later this month to tour the new Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford. Patients and staff will be moving into the 284 bed psychiatric facility mid-November. Tours will be held Monday through Friday from October 22 to November 2, at 15 minute intervals. Each tour will be a maximum of one hour. The new facility with 188 beds increases the size of the one it replaces by 32 beds. A further 96-bed secure wing will provide mental health services for male and female offenders with serious mental health issues. The province has invested just over $400 million in the hospital. You have to sign up in advance if you want a tour.
