Connecting residents with the services they need to help better their life is what the Saskatoon HUB program is all about. The program which began back in 2014 is a partnership between a group of agencies including Saskatoon Police, Mental Health and Addictions, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools and Saskatoon Public Schools just to name a few. Constable Jody Culbert says the last two years have been successful in regards to connecting residents with the programs they need that they may not otherwise have access to. Culbert adds all the agencies involved meet twice a week at the Saskatoon Police Headquarters where any of the agencies can bring forward a referral of an individual or a family that they feel is at an elevated risk to then get them the help they need. Culbert says they help people who don’t know how to get connected with the services they need. Since the program’s inception in 2014, HUB has connected more than 600 Saskatoon residents with the services they need. To find out more about the HUB program, click on the link below.
