A bystander helped police to apprehend an escaped prisoner from the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre on Wednesday afternoon.
Around 2:30, Saskatoon Police were told of the escape.
With the assistance of a bystander, the man was found on 64th Street, hiding inside a pickup truck.
He sustained minor injuries during his escape and was treated by paramedics before being released back into police custody.
A 33 year old man is charged with escaping custody, theft under $5-thousand and mischief.
