
The city of Humboldt is making preparations to mark the first anniversary of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash that killed 16 and injured 13 others.
A memorial service has been tentatively scheduled for April 6 at the Elgar Petersen Arena.
It was at that site where a similar service was held 48 hours after the crash that rocked the community, the province, the country and the world.
The information was released on the city of Humboldt’s Facebook page with more details to be announced as the date nears closer.
On March 22, the man who was driving the semi-truck that went through a stop sign causing the accident will be sentenced.
Jaskirat Sidhu pleaded guilty to 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and another 13 counts of dangerous driving causing injury.
