In light of the shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand, Saskatoon Police are increasing their presence around the five mosques in Saskatoon. They will be particularly noticeable during prayer times.
While there is no information to suggest that a similar threat exists here, Police are working to address safety concerns within the Saskatoon Muslim community.
49 people were killed during prayers today (fri) at two mosques in Christchurch. 48 others were injured. The suspect is a 28 year old Australian man.
