The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released running back Tre Mason. Last season, Mason played in 18 games for the green and white while rushing for 809 yards with three touchdowns.
On Friday, the Riders also released linebacker Paul Dawson and wide receiver Doug McNeil.
The club has also added three other players with the signings of defensive lineman Jeremy Faulk, defensive back Davon Jernigan and defensive back Jacob Dearborn.
Faulk joins the Riders after a stint with the now-defunct Alliance of American Football. Before that Faulk has spent time with the NFL’s New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. Jernigan spent the last four years playing at Lamar University in Texas. Dearborn comes to the green and white after three seasons with Carleton University.
