If you see a coyote in the city, treat it like the wild animal it is and make lots of noise, stay away, but if you feel it is a problem, report it to pest control or the conservation office. That from Sergeant Daryl Minter with the Conservation Officer Service.
The RM of Corman Park has received a report in their office about a pack of coyotes north of the city. A post circulating on social media indicates there is a coyote pack on the north end of Saskatoon within Corman park going into yards and up to houses onto decks.
Sgt. Minter says coyotes are after food, shelter and water. Many of the sources of food are spilled garbage, unprotected compost and in some cases intentional feeding. The sergeant says those things need to be reduced or removed to discourage coyote incursion. And if a coyote is sick, it could be mange which can be highly transmittable to a dog.
