The Saskatoon Fire Department was called out around 4:40 Sunday afternoon about a truck and trailer sliding into the river and becoming submerged. It happened at the public boat launch on Spadina Crescent. Divers went into the water to hook cables up to the trailer and the truck. Two tow trucks were used to pull them out. The cause is under investigation. No one was hurt.
