Conservative Party leader Andrew Scheer didn’t mince words about his opinion of Regina-Wascana MP, Ralph Goodale on this week at a Regina and District Chamber of Commerce event.
As the guest speaker, Scheer discussed his party’s goals and plans heading into the federal election in October and added that he believes Goodale only does what Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asks him to do.
Scheer says many people in Regina vote for Goodale because he is recognizable, but Goodale voted against the Energy East pipeline and in favour of the carbon tax, so in Scheer’s words, “If Ralph Goodale won’t vote for us, why should we vote for him”.
He added that while their government won’t decriminalize cannabis if elected, he did say their priority will be to repeal the carbon tax.
