A campaign to encourage pride in Saskatoon and in particular in the downtown area has begun. It’s a collaboration between the City of Saskatoon Mayor’s Office, Tourism Saskatoon and Downtown Saskatoon, also known as DTNYXE. It’s a campaign for residents to post their stories of downtown Saskatoon using the hashtag #webelongdtnyxe.
Executive Director of Downtown Saskatoon, Brent Penner, hopes the campaign will capture the colourful, urban, inviting experience of the city’s core. Urban living, heritage and modern architecture, international cultures, a growing food and arts scene and the river valley are some of the highlights of the downtown area which may spur on a social media post.
The campaign runs until September 2nd, and the content will be used to develop a Downtown narrative to be launched in the near future.
