A donation from the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation will assist in welcoming additional Indigenous programming to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. The federation has gifted 10 thousand dollars to the museum which will sponsor their Traditional Knowledge Keepers Program. The funds will help with a variety of activities at the museum such as storytelling, traditional art, and events such as Orange Shirt Day later this month. Director of the museum Peter Menzies says it’s important to provide the public with access to the history and knowledge of Indigenous peoples. The partnership helps contribute to the Truth and Reconciliation’s Calls to Action.
