Carlton Cards is shutting down operations meaning 76 locations in Canada, including one in Regina’s Southland Mall and two in Saskatoon at Market Mall and Lawson Heights Mall, will soon be closed for good.
All of the stores are expected to close in the next four to six weeks.
The company says it is unable to “realign stores to fit today’s shopping environment.”
This will leave Hallmark as the sole dominant player in the Canadian greeting card retail market.
