Co-op gas pumps are running dry in select communities across western Canada including Saskatoon due to the on-going labour dispute at the Co-op Refinery in Regina. Saskatoon Co-op has confirmed to CJWW News that the pumps at two Co-op gas bars in Saskatoon are currently closed due to a fuel shortage. Those locations are 22nd Street and Avenue D and the Centre Mall on 8th Street.
Fuel trucks are now able to get in to the Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina. Regina Police reported this morning they were overseeing the process of clearing the barricades, to make the area more safe in accordance with a court order from December and roads in front of the Refinery were closed until further notice.
A news release from FCL says fuel trucks began loading today (Fri) to get much-needed fuel to the communities that need it.
