If you’re coming from Saskatchewan in this era of COVID-19, into Manitoba, officials there want to know.Checkpoints have been set up at four Manitoba boundary crossings with Saskatchewan, due to COVID-19. Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler says they’ll help inform travellers returning to the province about the public health measures in place, to slow the spread of the virus.
The checkpoints are located on Highway 1 between Moosomin and Virden, Highway 16 between Langenburg and Russell, the highway between Calder and Roblin, and the highway between Redvers and Reston.
Schuler says they’re asking Manitobans who’ve been away from the province, to go into self-isolation for 14 days.
Despite having comparable populations, Manitoba so far is reporting a total number of lab-confirmed positive and probable cases at 39. Manitoba confirmed Friday one death due to Covid-19. Saskatchewan has 104 confirmed cases of the virus as of Friday afternoon. (CJGX)
