Tourism Saskatoon has announced their commitment to help businesses bolster operations with safety and assurances regarding COVID-19.
Vice President of Tourism Saskatoon, Steph Clovechok says many businesses are struggling to implement all of the re-opening plan restrictions and procedures.
Clovechok says the CommUnity Commitment plan provides people with as many resources as possible to implement or develop ways to assure the safety of their staff, community members and potential visitors.
Clovechok explains that they have partnered with Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Robyn Reist, to create presentations and worksheets, that will identify all the places where COVID-19 transmission is possible, and to apply controls to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. A task force of 24 Saskatoon residents has also been created to help advise business owners.
Clovechok says Tourism Saskatoon wants the city and all of the people within it to feel safe and secure as re-opening phases occur.
She says when it comes to welcoming visitors back to Saskatoon, there needs to be assurances that everything has been done to provide safety during the pandemic and afterwards.
For the pre-recorded webinar go here and when finished, the task force will send documents to businesses to let people see they’ve joined the commitment.
