A 33 year old man who was a passenger in a car that appears to have hit a guard rail and rolled, has died from his injuries.
Emergency crews were called out at 3:15 a.m. Monday morning to Highway 16 and Idylwyld Drive. Police say the vehicle was heading southbound on Idylwyld Drive when it hit the guardrail.
The driver, a 26 year old woman, is in hospital in what is described as stable condition and the accident is still under investigation.
Traffic restrictions have been lifted at Highway 16 and Idylwyld Drive.
In earlier reports from emergency officials they had indicated the man was still trapped in the vehicle when crews arrived and he had not been wearing a seat belt.
