An Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada research scientist in Lethbridge is being recognized for work in the fields of animal nutrition and environmental science, specifically greenhouse gas emissions.
Dr. Karen Beauchemin received the 2020 Canadian Beef Industry Award for Outstanding Research and Innovation. It was presented during the Canadian Beef Industry Conference, which is being held on-line during COVID-19.
Dr. Beauchemin is praised for actively engaging with cattle producers and studying new methods to reduce greenhouse gases emitted by cattle.
