It was an afternoon of thunderstorms for parts of Saskatchewan including Saskatoon on Thursday which rolled over into the evening for eastern Saskatchewan where a tornado warning was issued for an area including Yorkton.
Meanwhile, Environment Canada has now confirmed that a nasty storm near Humboldt last Friday did spawn a tornado.
AT 5:10 p.m. on August 21st Environment Canada says a tornado was observed just north of Humboldt and has been given a rating of EF-0. The tornado is considered a landspout tornado generated by weak rotation under rapidly growing clouds or weak thunderstorms.
It was also a landspout tornado that touch down last Friday at what was initially been reported as Lake Lenore but Environment Canada now says it was near Fulda.
