Since Anton Khudobin (pictured second from left with some of the Gersher clan) played in the 2005-06 season with the Saskatoon Blades, then he had to have been billeted by a family that had the Russian language spoken within the home!

That family is the Gershers from the Greystone Heights area. With Khudobin having back-stopped the Dallas Stars to the Stanley Cup final, his Saskatoon “billet mom,” Anna Gersher, says her family is proud of Anton.

Anna Gersher works in the library system at the U of S. She, along with husband David and three married daughters…Malvina, Shayna and Sarina and their families…are cheering on the Stars to win the Stanley Cup, like so many in Saskatoon and area now are!
