Evade Police
Saskatoon Police say one man has been charged after a vehicle was seen driving erratically in the area of Avenue W and 29th Street around 3 a.m. Sunday morning. When officers tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped off. The vehicle was found abandoned in the 18-hundred block of Avenue E North. Investigating officers arrested a suspect at a nearby home. Police allege the suspect possessed a knife at the time of his arrest. A 37 year old man is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Evade Police, Dangerous Driving and Breach of Court Conditions. He also had outstanding warrants.
Theft from Vehicle
Patrol officers were called to the 400 block of Vancouver Avenue South on Saturday after someone reported going through a vehicle. A suspect was seen driving a bicycle in a nearby alley and attempted to flee when approached by Saskatoon police. Police allege she was found to be in possession of stolen property, break and enter tools and methamphetamine. A 24 year old woman is facing charges and was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Dangerous Driving
Saskatoon Police say the Air Support Unit observed a motorcyclist travelling at 144 km/h in a 60 kilometre per hour zone. This was 10:15 p.m. on Friday night. The ASU directed patrol units to the motorcycle’s destination. A 19 year old, in the 200 block of Roberecki Crescent, was charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
