Saskatchewan’s provincial election is now officially over with the 61 returning officers returning their writs of election to the Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan.
That means the 61 candidates are now Members of the Legislative Assembly.
Dr. Michael Boda says, “The provincial election officially began September 29th with the issuing of the writs and today it concludes with the return of the writs.
Provincial legislation states that the return to writ of election is 23 days after polling day.
Saskatchewan’s provincial elections are required every four years on the last Monday in October, unless there is a delay from a federal election so the next provincial election is set for October 28th of 2024.
