Carrie said, “I would like to nominate Lorna for 1st Responder for the week. This lady was instrumental in organizing a 1st responders in Asquith in 1995, and she is one of two people who are still members.
Lorna has raised her family in Asquith and is a big part of the community. She knows most of the people and gives up a lot of time for the community. She is on a lot of committees and boards and is ready to help wherever needed. She does many visits to shut-ins, and just visits of encouragement and support. She keeps everyone up to speed with necessary training and works hard to raise the money to buy much needed equipment. This lady deserves a big “thank you” from all of us in Asquith and surrounding areas.”
