A fire investigator has determined the cause of a garage fire around three o’clock Sunday afternoon as a malfunctioning extension cord. The Saskatoon Fire Department started receiving 9-1-1 calls about flames coming from an attached garage on the 200 block of Gathercole Crescent. Arriving crews found the fire was extending into the roof. Everyone was already out of the house. The damage estimate is $70 thousand.
