The Saskatoon Fringe Festival is forging ahead. It is July 29th to August 7th, although there will be fewer venues because of safety precautions around COVID-19. That from 25th Street Theatre’s Executive Director, Anita Smith, who says there will be three venues – The Refinery, Broadway Theatre and an outdoor stage at W.P. Bates Park.
Depending on your comfort level you can choose an indoor or outdoor venue, but Smith stresses that all safety regulations will be followed. Applications for performers continue until March 13th. Smith notes that opportunities for live performances are rare right now, and it has been a challenging year for artists.
