The Saskatoon Police Services Traffic Unit reported three unusual ticketing situations during the past week.
On Friday police report observing a driver taking a selfie while driving, the driver was ticketed $580 and prompted police to remind residents to “leave the phone alone”.
The second was a truck going 116 km/h in a 90 km/h zone, when police spoke to the driver they were apparently on a test drive. According to police the driver stated they were “not going to buy the truck” after getting a ticket.
The third saw a vehicle stopped for the two back seat passengers not wearing seat-belts. Police say unfortunately, 90 minutes prior the driver was also stopped for speeding.
