Regina Police are warning the public about a man who is considered to be a high risk to reoffend sexually. Forty-four year-old Jason Paul Thorn is living in the Heritage neighbourhood of Regina, in a residence that provides supervision and monitoring of his activities. Police say this information is intended to enable members of the public to take suitable preventative measures, not to embark on any form of vigilantism or other unreasonable conduct directed at this individual.
He has a criminal history which includes sexual offences and has a history of reoffending. He poses a high risk to young girls. Police say the prospects for reduction of his risk through treatment are poor.
Thorn must abide by special conditions including not associating with anyone known or suspected to be involved in criminal activity or substance use; must return to his residence nightly; and, must have no contact with children under the age of 18, unless supervised by a responsible adult who has been pre-approved in writing by the supervising parole officer.
