SaskAlert says an ordered evacuation has been issued by the City of Prince Albert and the RM of Buckland due to a wildfire that is threatening residents. The blaze is about 10 kilometres northeast of the city across the highway from the Prince Albert Airport.
The alert says the wildfire is fast moving and those who live and work within North of Highway 55, east of Cloverdale Road and West of the Honeymoon Road, must evacuate. Individuals that can self-evacuate and find their own accommodations must use Highway 2 south and proceed to the Margo Fournier Centre to register.

The Prince Albert Police Service is asking drivers to avoid Highway 55 East, between Prince Albert and the area around the Pulp Haul Road.
Members of the police service are in the area assisting in directing traffic and working to ensure the safety of the public. Drivers are reminded to give emergency vehicles room to pass.
Access to several rural roads in the area has been closed.
