Around 3:30 Thursday afternoon, lifeguards at the Kinsmen Water Park in Prince Albert responded to a swimmer who had a finger trapped in a main pool outlet jet. The Prince Albert Fire Department was called and worked with lifeguards and maintenance personnel to free the swimmer by removing the pipe that caused the incident. The swimmer was alert when paramedics from Parkland Ambulance arrived and was taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment.
The Water Park was closed early on Thursday and will be closed today in order to complete the investigation and debrief with staff.
