Environment and Climate Change Canada reports only 6.7 millimetres of precipitation fell in the Saskatoon area last month—36 percent of normal.

The statistics were not much better for North Battleford and Prince Albert, which had 7.3 millimetres and 10.7 millimetre respectively.

There were areas that received above normal October precipitation—Moose Jaw, Regina and Yorkton. They all received rain and snow during an October 13-14 weather system.

October was warmer than normal across the entire province as the monthly mean average temperature was 1 to 3 degrees above normal.
