The “home team” may have the most treacherous travel getting into Saskatoon for the upcoming Tim Horton’s Canadian Olympic Curling Trials!
The Matt Dunstone foursome intends on driving up from Regina Thursday, hoping weather and highway conditions allow for that to happen and with minimal stress. Otherwise, the other 17 teams taking part will start trickling into Saskatoon Wednesday with all nine women’s and nine men’s teams expected to be here Thursday and practicing on the “green” SaskTel Centre ice Thursday and Friday. The competition begins with draws at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday. Of course, the respective winners on Sunday, November 28, will represent Canada at the Beijing Winter Olympics next February.
