
Media reports say the Canadian Border Services Agency has rejected Jaskirat Singh Sidhu’s bid to stay in Canada after he serves his sentence for 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and 13 counts of dangerous driving causing injury in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.
It has been almost four years since the tragic crash. Sidhu was was sentenced to 8 years in jail after crashing into the Humboldt Broncos bus on April 6th of 2018, killing 16 people and injuring 13.
Sidhu has permanent resident status in Canada. He can appeal this deportation decision. If it is denied, he will be deported to India once his sentence has been served.
