
A documentary series set in Saskatoon is now in its sixth season on CityTV. Paramedics: Emerency Response follows paramedics from Medavie Health Services West as they deal with a variety of 911 emergencies, and this latest season also includes the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The second episode of the sixth season aired Thursday night. Medavie spokesperson, Troy Davies, says, “Based on the positive response across Canada and internationally we are happy to continue to showcase to the public what our paramedics handle on a day-to-day basis.”
Per capita, Medavie Health Services West is one of the busiest Emergency Medical Services in Canada.
Its over 200 employees handle over 40,000 emergency calls per year in Saskatoon and surrounding area. The series is produced by Saskatoon’s Farenheit Films, which specializes in documentaries and documentary series. Paramedics: Emergency Response can now be seen in the U.K., Sweden, Spain, and parts of the U.S.
