A man and woman are facing a total of 14 charges between them from a Regina Police Service drug and firearms investigation. Around 9:30 last Thursday night, members of the Street Gangs Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of McTavish Street, with help from SWAT and the Canine Unit, because police believed there were firearms in the vehicle.
Initial attempts to get all of the suspects out of the vehicle weren’t successful, so Regina Police say a tool used to break windows from a distance was necessary. All three suspects got out and were arrested. It’s alleged meth, fentanyl, cash and other items consistent with drug trafficking were seized, as well as a loaded firearm and ammunition.
The charges for 28 year old Cain Lindahl and 36 year old Clara Rainville include possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon, and proceeds of crime under $5,000. Lindahl is also charged with three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
