RCMP say the recovery of a stolen vehicle and investigation by the Battlefords Gang Task Force has lead to the seizure of weapons and drugs.
On Saturday, the Task Force located a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of 102nd street which was occupied at the time. Those inside were arrested and police seized weapons, methamphetamine, and other evidence which they say was indicative of drug trafficking. The car had been reported stolen in March 2nd from a location five blocks away from where it was tracked down.
Twenty-six-year old Jordan Pritchett of North Battleford, SK is charged with:
” 1 count, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
” 1 count, possession of a prohibited weapon, Section 91(3) Criminal Code.
” 1 count, possession of a concealed weapon, Section 90(2) Criminal Code .
” 1 count, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(2) Criminal Code.
” 2 counts, possession of a weapon contrary to order, Section 117.01 Criminal Code.
” 1 count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code.
” 2 counts, fail to comply with probation, Section 733.1 Criminal Code.
