Saskatoon is still the biggest city in the province with a population of 266,141 residents. That’s according to the 2021 Census by Statistics Canada.
The city’s population grew by nearly eight per cent from the previous Census in 2016 which recorded 247,201 residents calling Saskatoon home. The population for the Saskatoon Census Metropolitan Area is 317, 480. Martensville’s population grew and in 2021 was 10,549 while Warman also saw growth with their population at 12,419.
Regina, the province’s second biggest city grew around five per cent from 215,106 residents in 2016 to 226,404 residents in 2021.
Prince Albert has a population of 37,756 while Moose Jaw has 33,665 residents calling the Friendly City home, a slight decrease from the last census. Yorkton’s population decreased slightly to 16, 280 while Swift Current saw a slight increase and in 2021 had a population of 16, 750.
