The defence has decided not to submit new evidence in the voir dire connected to the Greg Fertuck first degree murder trial, so written arguments are scheduled for June 24th for the Crown, and June 30th for the defence. The voir dire is to determine whether evidence from a Mr. Big sting should be admissible.
Fertuck is charged with murder and indignity to human remains in the death of his estranged wife Sheree Fertuck from the Kenaston area. She was reported missing in December of 2015. Her truck was found at a gravel pit in the area, but her body has never been located.
After the voir dire originally ended, the decision on whether the evidence would be admissible was to happen at the end of March, but the the Crown applied to re-open and submit new evidence.
