The Craig Dickenson update following Thursday’s closed practice was succinct, but significant.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders head coach says no decision has been made as to whether Tevin Jones or Deuly Aristidie Junior will start, or get the majority of reps, in place of the injured Shaq Evans at one of the receiver spots in Saturday’s re-match with the Alouettes at Mosaic Stadium. Dickenson revealed that U of S grad Nelson Lokombo (hip) and import tackle Terran Vaughn (lower body) were limited in the final preparation practice. He does expect Vaughn to play and added that there was a good chance Lokombo would start at cornerback again, although Malcolm Lee could be used there if need be. The best news for the Green and White from the head coach was that defensive end A-C Leonard’s troublesome toe injury was okay and he’ll be good to go Saturday. Saturday’s kick-off is at 5 o’clock.
