The Western Hockey League team’s primary logo is centered on the community connection with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds air demonstration squadron.
It was released on Tuesday following a review of the previous logo that featured a side profile of a face framed by an Indigenous headdress. The review was launched after a number of professional and amateur sports franchises (such as the Edmonton Eskimos-CFL, Washington Redskins-NFL and McGill Redmen-U Sports) changed their names and logos.
The Moose Jaw Warriors decided to keep the name and its red-and-black colour scheme.
More information on the logo’s development can be found here and this is the link to the team video.
