One of Saskatoon’s newest non-profit organizations, BIPOC (buy-pock) Coffee talk is hosting their first in person event tomorrow (sun). The BIPOC Lens is a day long event that will see speaker presentations and enriching discussions by BIPOC professionals on anti-racist topics.
BIPOC stands for Black Indigenous and People of Color. This event will give the community the opportunity to connect and get the view points of BIPOC people in a safe space.
BIPOC Coffee Talk is a discussion-based non profit that allows people of color to express their experiences and observations of oppression.
The organization was officially registered as a non-profit in September 2021.They have been hosting monthly virtual events since November of 2020, but plan to have more in-person events going forward.
Advanced Tickets for the BIPOC lens are 15 dollars with tickets at the door being 20 dollars and if you can’t attend in person, virtual tickets are 10 dollars. For ticket purchase go to bipoccoffeetalk.ca and look under the events tab. The event is age restricted at 19, doors will open at 11:30am at Broadway Collective.
