A 22-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant issued by the Toronto Police Service was arrested last week in Prince Albert.
Mohamed Hassan was taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m. last Thursday outside a residence in the 1400 block of 28th Street East in PA. The arrest was executed by the Prince Albert Police Service’s Crime Reduction Team on connection with an investigation into drug trafficking.
On the same day, 49-year-old Koren Mercredi of Prince Albert was arrested after the C-R-T located a loaded handgun, ammunition, just over 120 grams of cocaine, crack cocaine, two cell phones and more than 12-thousand dollars in cash (pictured).
Hassan was wanted by Toronto Police in connection to an April, 2021 shooting incident in which one man died in that city. In July of this year, Toronto Police offered a 50-thousand dollar reward for information leading to Hassan’s arrest.
Arrangements are being made to transport Hassan to Toronto on the outstanding warrant. Hassan made a court appearance in Prince Albert Monday morning on several charges.
