It has been eight weeks since Mayor Charlie Clark launched the CJWW Secret Santa campaign by flipping the switch to the Christmas tree at City Hall and donating the first gift, and today is the big day.
It’s distribution day, where 800 families in need will receive their Christmas food hampers and books and toys for the children.
Executive Director of the Secret Santa Foundation, Katelyn Bruce, says The Salvation Army handles all the applications in Saskatoon and then CJWW Secret Santa gets 800 of the larger families to supply them with a Christmas dinner and breakfast, and toys and books for the kids.
This year is the 39th annual CJWW Secret Santa campaign.
