Despite the continued run of multiple key, veteran players being sidelined by injury, the Saskatoon Blades are back to their winning ways!
Conner Roulette returned from a four-game injury absence with two assists and Ethan Chadwick (pictured) stopped 21 shots for his second shutout of the season as the Bridge City Bunch blanked the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-0 Tuesday at SaskTel Centre. Brandon Lisowsky, Lukas Hansen, Egor Sidorov and Charlie Wright scored the goals as the Blue and Gold are on a three-game winning streak and have captured five of their last six outings to improve their record to 33-12-4 for 70 points. The Blades are five points back of East Division and Eastern Conference-leading Winnipeg and three points ahead of Moose Jaw. Saskatoon out-shot Edmonton 44-21 while completing a four-game season sweep of the Oil Kings in front of 2,767 fans. The Blades depart Wednesday for B-C and a five-game tour through the division. First stop will be Friday in Kamloops against the Memorial Cup-host Blazers. Following are the audio highlights from CJWW’s broadcast, the official game summary courtesy the W-H-L plus Post-Game Show comments from head coach Brennan Sonne, Roulette and Hansen…..
