The construction of Regina’s new Urgent Care Centre on Albert Street is no 50 per cent complete. Health Minister Paul Merriman says the new facility will be an important addition to health care services for Regina and area. It’s expected to open early next year.
A news release from the province says that the new Urgent Care Centre will be a more suitable option and an alternative to Emergency Departments for illnesses, injuries and mental health issues which are not life threatening, but require treatment before the following day. The Government of Saskatchewan has committed to building this urgent care centre as well as a second one in Saskatoon.
