If you were on Idylwyld Drive and 33rd Street just before 7 p.m. Sunday evening, you may have noticed the smoke from a house fire at Stanley Place, which is just off Idylwyld.
The Saskatoon Fire Department responded at 6:42 p.m. and crews found smoke coming from the roof.
Fire officials say the smoke alarm alerted the lone occupant of the home who had already evacuated safely.
The fire was declared extinguished by 7:13 p.m. The cause of the fire remains undetermined, and the damage is estimated at $70,000.
