Saskatchewan RCMP say this Thursday they will release a preliminary timeline of events in the September 4, 2022 mass stabbing spree that left 11 people dead and another 18 injured on James Smith Cree Nation and in Weldon.
The RCMP say the presentation is intended to fulfill a commitment made by Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore, Commanding Officer of the Saskatchewan F Division, to share a preliminary timeline of events related to the James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon mass casualty homicides.
The RCMP also say information to be released will not impact the two upcoming Saskatchewan Coroners Service inquests and the independent investigation being conducted by the Saskatoon Police Service and the Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team.
