To kick off Pride Month, the University of Saskatchewan held a pride flag-raising ceremony.
The flag is in front of the Peter Mackinnon Building, and the university says, “the flag raising ceremony signals our commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive working, teaching, and learning environment for all, and to publicly display our support for diversity across our campuses.”
Speakers at the ceremony included Usask President Peter Stoicheff and Jocelyn Ormerod, a Two-spirited Metis Indigenous Achievement Advisor at USask.
