The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency says there are 30 wildfires in the province right now and seven are not contained. To date this year there have been 206 fires while the five-year average is 138.
According to the National Wildland Fire Situation Report, there are 188 wildfires across Canada. Of those, 45 are uncontrolled. There have been 1826 fires this year while the 10-year average 1,588. Thursday morning the Prime Minister will hold a news conference to provide a national wildfire update.
