The Government-Trustee Bargaining Committee has proposed a new collective agreement for Saskatchewan teachers, which includes a seven per cent wage increase over three years for members of the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation. The proposal is for a three per cent increase this year and two per cent in both 2024 and 25.
Education Minister Dustin Duncan says the offer ensures wages and benefits remain above the Western Canadian average. The current contract expires this August.
The GTBC is comprised of representatives from the provincial government and the Saskatchewan School Boards Association.
